WW Crockpot Apple Butter
12 medium size) Granny Smith or Jonathan
1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup apple juice
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 ground allspice
1 ground nutmeg
1 tsp ground cloves
1. Place all ingredients into a 5 to 6-quart slow cooker and mix together.
2. Cover and cook on low heat setting 8 to 10 hours or until apples are very tender.
Mash apples with potato masher or large fork.
3. Cover and cook an additional 1 to 2 hours, stirring occionally until very thick.
Cool about 2 hours.
4. Spoon into a container. Cover and store in refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
Yield: 64 servings
Serving Size: 1 Tbsp per serving.
