Apple Pie


2 (9 inch) pie crusts
7 cups cooking apples, peeled, cored & sliced thin
1 cup Splenda® granulated no calorie sweetener
3 tbsp cornstarch
3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp salt


1. Preheat oven to 425 F. Place one crust into a 9 inch pie pan.

2. Place sliced apples into a large mixing bowl and set aside. Combine Splenda, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt in a small bowl. Sprinkle Splenda mixtureover apples and toss together. Spoon apple mixture into pie crust. Place the second crust over the filling. Seal edges, trim and flute. Make small slits in the top crust.

3. Place in oven and bake 40 to 50 minutes or until the top crust is golden.Cut into 8 equal sized slices.

Yield: 8 Servings
Serving Size: 1 Slice per serving.
